History
The preschool began in 1964 as Upland Community Preschool. It was taken over by St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and re-named St. Mark’s Preschool in 1973. Since then, the preschool has been providing children with a high quality educational experience in a nurturing, Christian environment. St. Mark’s Preschool views children as our most valuable resource and is committed to being an outstanding leader in the field of early childhood education.
Philosophy
At St. Mark’s Preschool, we cherish and nurture the self-worth of each child and are committed to helping children reach their potential. Our Reggio Emilia inspired program builds on a child’s natural curiosity of the world through guided exploration and creative play. Our high quality program offers a rich learning environment with a research based curriculum, and a project/inquiry based teaching-learning approach that provides a solid foundation for future learning.
